The GRADES of our used textbooks are identified by the last character of the 10- or 13-digit ISBN.
Textbooks, Teacher’s Guides, and Workbooks
GRADE: Near New Last digit of ISBN: N
Pricing: 10% off the publisher’s NEW school price
Description: Near new or “never issued” books have never been used by students.
They are not stamped and often indistinguishable from new copies, the only difference
being possible shelf wear such as scratches and dinged corners.
GRADE: Used Last digit of ISBN: U
Pricing: 20% - 30% off the publisher’s NEW school price. Older books are often
priced even lower
Description: Books have been inspected and refurbished. Our quality control department
ensures our USED books are complete, structurally sound, and free of major highlighting,
writing, and graffiti. These books have many years of life left in them.

GRADE: Fair Last Digit of ISBN: F
Pricing: Approximately 50% off the publisher’s NEW school price
Description: Books have been inspected but not refurbished. Our quality control
department ensures our FAIR books are complete with no missing pages. The
books will often contain some writing and/or highlighting. The bindings are not
pristine, but NOT falling apart. FAIR books are still perfectly functional and great
for class top ups.
GRADE: Passable Last Digit of ISBN: P
Pricing: Approximately 70% off the publisher’s NEW school price
Description: Books have been inspected but not refurbished. Our quality control
department ensures our PASSABLE books are complete with no missing pages. The
bindings are in average condition but are NOT falling apart. The books will contain
some writing, highlighting, and/or minor moisture damage. PASSABLE books are still
perfectly functional and ideal when needed for a few term’s use.
